UNIVERSITY OF JAMESTOWN LEADS IN SMARTLAB DEVELOPMENT
University of Jamestown (UJ) is proud to be the first college in the U.S. to offer students a SmartLab – an engaging program where students explore STEM and media arts through applied technology and project-based learning.
UJ invested $100,000 in the lab, which is housed in the Unruh & Sheldon Center. The lab will be available to the university’s teacher education majors to help them prepare for their future careers.
The students won’t be teaching in the lab. Instead, they’ll learn about platforms their future students will use. UJ students will be incorporating technology into their projects, working on critical thinking and problem solving, and most importantly, growing their skills for the next generation of learners.
