North Dakota Living, the state’s largest-circulated publication and statewide electric cooperative magazine, will conduct a readership survey later this summer. If you are randomly selected to participate, we ask you to consider taking the survey.
Magazine readership surveys are conducted at regular intervals, ideally every three to five years. The last North Dakota Living readership survey was completed in May 2020.
Readership surveys are an important measurement tool and provide critical longitudinal data to inform decision-making. Participants will be asked about their media consumption and communications preferences, to describe their magazine readership habits and to provide feedback on all sections of the publication. Demographic questions will provide additional information about our readers and trends. However, your participation is optional and your responses will never be personally identifiable.
Readers may be asked to participate in the survey in one of two ways: phone interviews or text-to-web responses. If you participate on the phone, the caller will walk you through a list of questions and responses. Otherwise, you will receive a text with a link to participate and complete the survey online. Regardless of the mechanism used to participate, the survey will be identified as coming from your local electric cooperative and North Dakota Living.
We will only ask for your name, to ensure the person on the phone matches the randomly selected name on the list. North Dakota Living and its representatives will never ask for your contact information, including phone number, email or mailing address, credit card or banking information, Social Security number or other protected personal information. If you are ever concerned about the validity of a survey or call claiming to be from your local electric cooperative, hang up the phone immediately and call your cooperative.
Additional information may be provided in a future issue of North Dakota Living in your cooperative’s local pages found in the center of the magazine, or communicated by your electric cooperative on its website or social media pages.
