Todd Brickhouse has been named the chief executive officer and general manager of Basin Electric Power Cooperative by the board of directors, according to a Dec. 13, 2023, release. Brickhouse has served in the same capacity on an interim basis since July 2023 and previously was the cooperative’s senior vice president and chief financial officer.

“The board has worked closely with (Brickhouse) during his tenure at Basin Electric and believes he has the skills, strategic vision, work ethic and integrity to lead the organization,” said Wayne Peltier, Basin Electric board president.

Brickhouse spent 21 years at Old Dominion Electric Cooperative in Virginia before joining Basin Electric in June 2022.

“I thank the board of directors for their confidence and support, and I look forward to working closely with them and our members as we pursue Basin Electric’s mission of providing reliable and affordable power, products and services to sustain the quality of life for our member-owners across rural America,” Brickhouse said.

Brickhouse will lead the not-for-profit cooperative, which provides supplemental power to 131 member-cooperative systems in nine states, from its Bismarck headquarters.
