Who are you grateful for this year and why?
GRATITUDE TO GRANDPARENTS
This year, I am thankful for my grandma and grandpa. Over the summer, they helped bring us to different activities and sports practices. They fed us every day, whether that was at their house or at a restaurant.
When there was a day without anything planned, we would do something fun, such as going to the movie theater or to the amusement park.
Without them, my parents would have been overwhelmed, and we wouldn’t have been able to do a lot of fun things with them. That is why I am very grateful for my grandma and grandpa.

HELPING HAND
I have so many people to be grateful for this year. This spring, it became apparent I could no longer delay having a total knee replacement. As a single person, I didn’t know how I was going to manage and do the things that needed to be done, but the Lord provided and met every need.
I had willing helpers who picked the strawberries, got the mail, fed the animals, watered the plants, got groceries, hauled my garbage, pulled weeds and even helped me put on my socks.
Every single time I had a need, there was someone available to lend a hand. I am so grateful for the community where I live and the kindness shown to me.
I can also include a job that has good benefits, so I didn’t go without a paycheck, a physical therapist who made house calls and a transit bus that took me to my first follow-up appointment.
Even in our small community, we have so many resources. I am grateful for each one and the people behind them who make it possible.

LOVING FAMILY
I am grateful for my family this year! My family has nine people in it, including my mom and dad, four brothers, two sisters and me. One of my sisters was just born in September.
My family is loving and kind. They are always there for me.
When I was scared to talk to people for a project I was doing at school, my mom gave me encouragement. She is the best.
My family and I live on a farm. I am grateful for my animals, too. We just got a Highland calf. He is so cute.
We also like to garden. We have four gardens, including my little garden I made this summer. I am grateful to grow food to eat with my family.
We enjoy going on trips as a family. We went to Minnesota this summer to a lake. Last year, we went to Rapid City, S.D. We love spending time with each other and are grateful for the moments we have.
I am very thankful for Grandma, too.
I have many people I am grateful for, but these are the most important ones. I am grateful for them because they love me!
