What do you do to relieve stress?
ENJOY NATURE
I usually open the shades, let the sunshine in, take some deep breaths, go for a walk and inhale the fresh air. Nature is so good for a person.
I do a lot of praying. I like to bake and/or make extra food and take it to a homebound person, a neighbor or an older person.
And as you look around, soon you will notice all the blessings God has given us. Every day is a gift.

TAKE A WALK
I believe the best stress reliever is going for a walk. Try to focus on the wonderful things you see: a beautifully groomed yard and flowers, a family outside playing with their young children, a pretty bluejay singing in a tree, a unique butterfly, a new puppy on a leash with its owner, a laughing group of kids playing at a park. Focus on good and happy things and your stress just fades.

BAKE IT OFF
How do I destress? Let me count the ways.
Would you believe I can only come up with one? And it is baking!
I recently went through a stressful period and I noticed the freezer was about to “stress out.” The freezer was so full of baked goods, it couldn’t hold another batch of anything.
When I stressfully bake, I don’t consume a lot of it myself. In fact, I can bake all day and not taste anything. Family, friends and neighbors become the beneficiaries.
I especially like to work with yeast dough. I’m convinced punching the dough relieves stress.
Having worked through that stress, I plan on enjoying a mostly stress-free spring and wish all who may read this a happy spring!

FIND PEACE
To relieve stress, I spend time in God’s word each day. Isaiah 26:3 says, “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you.” Focusing on the truth of the Bible and on God replaces anxiety with peace. I promise you, it works! Try it!

PRAY FOR PEACE
What I do to relieve stress in this crazy world is bake cookies, among other things. I play my guitar and sing alone in my living room.
I walk on my treadmill and think about what I’ll do for the day. I also will eat something I shouldn’t have, like a candy bar. In the summer, I go outdoors and plant flowers and go for a walk. Also, I will call a friend or a sister just to talk. Lastly, I pray for peace in my life, my country and the whole world.
